This added precision means that many Achievement percentages can only be factored into specific whole numbers.
In the Steam API, however, the Achievement percentages were, until recently, provided to an extremely precise 16 decimal places. On the Steam web site, that data appears rounded to two decimal places. The new data derivation method, as ably explained in a Medium post from The End Is Nigh developer Tyler Glaiel, centers on the percentage of players who have accomplished developer-defined Achievements associated with many games on the service. While Valve has now closed this inadvertent data leak, Ars can still provide the data it revealed as a historical record of the aggregate popularity of a large portion of the Steam library. I usually go with musket or 7 shot gun (depending want accuracy or close range buckshot style), 3 or 4 barrel pistol (or fast but low damage one, it's so quick), boarding spear and tea (or eyeglass if you have a ship with active tea givers).A recently discovered hole in Valve's API allowed observers to generate extremely precise and publicly accessible data for the total number of players for thousands of Steam games. You don't need to hip fire - choose a musket (has ADS), I'm not sure if any sidearms have ADS but people weren't 'really' using ADS for pistols back then! I agree I am a fan of ADS as much as possible, but you really don't need to ADS for blunderbuss for instance :)Īlso I'm sorry to hear you got stuck on loadout screen, donn't stress about the options, just pick and try stuff to figure it out.

They probably could do with some render scaling stuff, I'm playing at 1080p / 1920x1080 and no issues at all. Also the clunky movement, especially when running, is really annoying.Īpart from those points I have to say I enjoyed my gameplay session even when I was in a team being stomped hard. My main complaints would be the blurryness (I'm playing on 768p so probably no proper rendering was added for this resolution) and then the clunky gameplay: I know the slow reloads on weapons are realistic but always hipfiring makes me sick. Originally posted by Shingatsu:I just tried it out, it's amazing!Īctually not jk it's one big-buggy-mess but I had fun with it lel. It seems like a game for people that like arcade fun like Pirates Vikings Knights style game, or historical shooters like Verdun, Battlegrounds, War of Nations, War of Rights etc. It's so much fun and the first day I played I couldn't put it down.

Heaps of fun, I think of it like a combination of Battlegrounds mod for Half Life (historical weapons, fun gameplay but with some realistic/historical aspects) and Battlefield, if Battlefield only had bases and tanks (in this, the tanks are ships). There are always active US and EU servers, as well as during the daytime, AUS server usually too. Īs for to buy or not, I was lucky enough to win a giveaway of this game a week ago - it's ace. For blackwake to have matchmaking there would have to be tens of thousands of active players. Matchmaking requires thousands of players ingame at once to be viable for small servers.
Thank God none of that matchmaking crap is around here.
